Residential Housing Issues Videoconference Series

The Minnesota Department of Human Services sponsored six videoconferences on housing for persons with disabilities featuring speakers from around the nation.  DHS developed the series in conjunction with the Residential Services Innovations Steering Committee, of which The Arc and a variety of other disability agencies are members.

The goals of this committee are as follows:

* Inform and educate interested groups about alternative residential models.

* Identify up to six promising approaches for the delivery of residential supports and services.

* Recommend actions that eliminate barriers and provide incentives to develop new models and approaches.
