What is Assistive Technology?
It is any item that is used to increase, maintain, or improve school, work,
and/or daily living capabilities of an individual with a disability.
Why was the Lending Library developed?
The Library was developed to give people the opportunity to try different types
of equipment. Items may be borrowed, free of charge, for short-term use.
If you would like to have a device permanently, we can provide you with
information on how to purchase it.
What is available?
The Lending Library has many items that will aid people at home, work, school,
or in the community. Item such as transfer broads, portable wheelchair ramps,
switch-operated toys, picture communication systems, weighted blankets, and
much more. For a complete listing of items, call the Arc office at the
address above and request a catalog. If you are looking for a specific
item, please call to ask if we have it.
Who may borrow items?
Any resident in northwestern Minnesota who would benefit from trying a piece
of equipment, or his/her family member, may borrow items from the library.

Equipment Recycling:
We will accept donations of assistive devices or equipment that are in good
working condition.
Community Visits:
We would be happy to bring a display of items to your organization or community.
